About the Project
Summer Stars is a 100% free, nine-day performing arts camp for underserved kids who don’t have access to arts programs at school. However, the broader mission is bigger than performance. It’s about using the arts to build confidence, leadership, and long-lasting belief in themselves. The project involved supporting the camp with a refocusing of their social media pages, as well as shooting, editing and posting at camp in real time.
The Goal
We wanted to connect parents and donors with the camp, while also building a consistent visual identity and a usable content library they could rely on long after the week ended.

Process
1) Refresh the brand presence
Before camp, we cleaned up and organized their social presence—tightening the grid, creating simple standards, updating highlights, and building a few reusable branded elements so the account looked intentional and consistent.
2) Live coverage at camp (fast turnaround)
During the nine-day program, we ran on-site capture and posting at speed: 20–30 stories per day, 2–3 reels, and a daily carousel—all turned around same-day so families and supporters felt like they were there. The feedback we got over and over was that the Instagram made people feel like they were experiencing camp in real time.
3) Build a long-term asset library
Beyond social posts, we delivered thousands of edited photos plus video b-roll that Summer Stars can use for future fundraising, marketing, recruitment, and storytelling year-round.
